Aaharn
Opened in 2018 in Tai Kwun, in the heart of Central, Aaharn is a world-class exploration of Thai cuisine with a menu inspired by internationally celebrated chef David Thompson sitting on the first floor of The Armoury building. Whilst, The Armoury Bar, on the ground floor is an all-day venue nestled under the mango tree within Tai Kwun’s historic Parade Ground.
Aaharn was awarded one Michelin star in the 2020 Hong Kong & Macau Michelin Guide and has retained this since. Offering hard-to-find, authentic Thai dishes using best quality ingredients, fresh Thai herbs and vegetables brought in directly from Thailand daily along with hand pressed coconut milk in all our curries.
Problems and issues faced prior to implementing Xero
As this was a new venture, we had no real problems to begin with. However, we wanted to implement a cloud-based accounting solution. Xero was highly recommended and with a bank integration to HSBC and other smart ecosystem solutions such a point-of sale, Xero was the most practical solution for us.
Wish-list and selection process, why did Aaharn opt for a cloud based solution?
We were introduced to Fresh Accounting and their business was 100% cloud based. As one of the early Xero partners in Hong Kong, we felt confident that Fresh could help us adopt a successful implementation of a cloud-based accounting strategy for us.
The solution and why Xero, Dext, Amaka and Revel were selected
As we only considered Xero, which was cloud-based, we also wanted to adopt the same approach to our point-of-sale solution, which could integrate with Xero. We selected Revel, along with Amaka which connects Revel directly to Xero for our daily sales, automating our sales directly to Xero. We also selected Dext, which enables all supplier bills to be scanned and directly imported to Xero, minimising data entry and simplifying our basic accounting requirements.
Highlights and accomplishments of working with Fresh Accounting and the results you have achieved using Xero
Fresh assisted in the transition to Xero and helped at every stage of the project. The Fresh team are pro-active and skilled in Xero and available eco-system solutions. The work of the Fresh team has allowed us to view accounting as a means of building and executing strategies, rather than the painful administrative chores.
